The Amazon Paintout - 2010-04-07
There's nothing like a warm sunny day to get Plein Air painters out.
Amazon Park was a little soggy but perfect for painting either from a lawn chair like Victoria...
... or standing in a wet soggy field like Vern.
Randi, a reporter from the Register Guard, was enjoying doing interviews.
Chris a Register Guard photographer, got down and dirty to take an interesting shot ...
... of Renee who was well along in her painting.
When the painters are out they really draw the interest of people in the area.
Most artists gathered on the knoll and with the heat, they gathered in the shade.
Mara and Victoria were busy as Sally was setting up her easel.
As Sally (purple shirt) set up Victoria was hard at work with her Goliath brush...
... and things were taking shape in her painting.
Sally moved into the sun with some distant onlookers.
Interesting how it looks like a tiny Renee is standing on Victoria's painting.
Kathy arrived and quickly set up.
Later Chris (the photographer) talked a bit with Sally and Victoria.
I got home just in time to get a shot of my fully opened red/white Tulip. It was a great day to be out painting and shooting with my camera in perfect light.
